UK Snow forecast Friday 18 & Saturday 19 January 2013

There are reports of snowfall in the UK from Friday 18 January, through the weekend. Virgin Atlantic is monitoring the weather forecast and at this time, they are planning to operate the full flying programme.
Please check your Flight Status for the latest information on all Virgin Atlantic flight schedules before you travel to the airport. In addition, UK mobile phone users can update their mobile phone details in My Booking in order to send text messages in the event of any significant disruption.
They advise all passengers to plan their journey to and from UK airports in advance, leave plenty of time and take extra care on the roads.

Luton and Stansted Airports are closed this morning, Wednesday 5th December, due to heavy snowfalls. Airports are expected to open again this morning. Passengers are advised to check with their airline’s websites for updates.

Severe weather associated with the landfall of Hurricane Sandy continues to cause significant disruption to travel to, from, or through the U.S. East Coast. We would advise passengers travelling to or from the U.S. East Coast to check the airline website for flight status updates before departing for the airport. Airlines are closely monitoring the track of the storm and will update their websites with schedule changes as they develop.

Status update bankruptcy Spanair

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about the current situation regarding Spanair.
If you did not purchase a ticket guarantee with your Spanair flight ticket, we are sorry to inform you that we cannot refund the amount paid, as payment has already been made to the airline. Furthermore, EU rules state that without a ticket guarantee your ticket is not insured in case of bankruptcy. All customers who purchased a ticket guarantee with their Spanair ticket have received the full amount back in their account.
Status update bankruptcy Malev

We would like to take the opportunity to inform you on the Malev bankruptcy situation.
In case you didn't purchase a ticket guarantee with your Malev flight ticket we are sorry to inform you that we cannot refund you the amount paid. EU rules state that your ticket is not insured in case of bankruptcy. At the moment we are putting effort into talking to the curators about some kind of compensation. We will inform you on any progression as soon as we can.
All customers who have purchased a ticket guarantee with their Malev ticket have received the full amount back on their account.
Malev (Hungarian Airlines) ceased operations per Friday February 3th 6am, 2012
Malev (Hungarian Airlines) ceased operations early Friday morning after the Board of Directors decided to minimize the airline’s losses. There has not been an official bankruptcy filing.
We very much regret the situation and understand that this might affect your travel plans.
We can offer you the following information:
- We will contact all passengers with a booked Malev flight with a departure date within the next 4 days by phone and / or email.
- (Local) Malev representation will assist passengers who have already flown to their destination and have a return date on/before February 29, 2012 in finding alternative flights..
- If you decide to book alternative flights yourself, then this is for your own costs.
- We will keep you informed of any new developments regarding the operation of Malev flights.
What you can do:
- Please do not call or email us if your departure date is not within the next 4 days. We are monitoring the situation closely and would like to keep our efforts focused on assisting passengers with a departure date at very short notice.
- You must be aware that your flight with Malev will not be operated. Please think about alternatives.
