Sunny Mallorca is always a great place to escape to, whether for a weekend or a longer holiday in the sun. There's something for every traveller, beautiful scenery, charming cities and villages, beautiful beaches and numerous shops. Mallorca has it all!
Where should you start? In 48 hours, we'll take you to the different hotspots and hidden gems of this island. You'll be well prepared to kick off your weekend in Mallorca. It's so handy!
Day 1 - During the day
The beautiful Palma is the starting point of this fine weekend. But before we explore this ancient city, it's time for a nice breakfast. In the charming Ca' n Joan de S'aigo (Calle Baro de Santa Maria del Sepulcre, 5), wake yourself up with a delicious sandwich and a steaming cup of Spanish coffee. Ready? Let's go!
Day 1 - Night
It's dinner time! All that walking will make you hungry, so we're looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant. Celler Sa Premsa (Plaça Obispo Berenguer de Palou 8) is as Spanish as it gets, and they serve the best Mallorcan specialities. Go for the tumbet, a dish with eggplant slices, potatoes and red peppers - buen provecho!
Time for a hearty breakfast before we head out of the city. La Madeleine de Proust (Carrer Annibal, 17) has great coffee and sandwiches! Make sure you take a snack for later, as it's so easy (and so delicious).
Day 2 - During the day
Palma is of course great, but there's so much more to see on this wonderful island. The absolute must-sees of the island are the Cuevas del Drach (Dragon Caves), the Torrent de Pareis canyon and the old wooden train to Sóller. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and historic towns!
Day 2 - Night
The small town of Banyalbufar has a number of restaurants, most with great sea views. Sit outside and enjoy the weather and great food. You've earned it after driving across the whole island all day long doing one activity after another!
