Where should you start? In 48 hours, we'll take you to the different hotspots and hidden gems in the city. You'll be well prepared to kick off your weekend in Amsterdam. It's so handy!
Day 1 - During the day
Start the day the Dutch way and enjoy a pancake at the aptly name Pancake Restaurant near Amsterdam Centraal Station. You can choose from a variety of assortments, such as ham and cheese, banana and chocolate or even create your own.
Day 1 - Night
Amsterdam comes alive at night, with plenty to do whatever mood you are in. There are cool bars, lively pubs and of course clubs with the very best techno and house music. If you’re looking for something more relaxed, you can always head to one of the various coffee shops in the city.
Start the day with a deliciously simple Dutch breakfast or brunch; uitsmijter. This dish is bread with cheese, ham and fried eggs. It satisfies you like a full English but isn’t as greasy and heavy. Perfect to start the day with!
Day 2 - During the day
Wander around the city and enjoy the pretty houses lining the canals. Make your way to the Anne Frank Museum on the Prinsengracht. The museum is very popular, particularly in the summer, so it’s important to buy tickets in advance but it is definitely worth a visit.
Day 2 - Night
Fancy one last drink in Amsterdam? There are plenty of choices. Our tips include the areas of Leidseplein and Rembrandtsplein. You will also always find things to do and plenty of bars in the Red Light District (between Centraal Station and Dam Square).
