Day 1 - During the day
When you wake up in Budapest in the morning, you'll see the sun rise over the waters of the Danube. The sky turns into beautiful pink and orange. What better way to start the day than with a delicious breakfast and that beautiful view? Get a tasty sandwich from the BITE Bakery Café or a vegetarian breakfast at Fruccola. Tip: take your breakfast outside and look for a nice view, like the Fisherman's Bastion. Now that's a good way to wake up!

Day 1 - Night
Care for a special dinner? Then head to Búsuló Juhász on the Gellért Hill. It's not far from where you've spent the day. The restaurant is elegant and offers traditional Hungarian dishes such as goulash soup. Because the restaurant is located on a hill, you have a beautiful view over the city from the large windows. So make sure you ask for a table by the window, because you don't want to miss it. One word: enjoy!

The next day...

Time for your second day in Budapest! And to kick it off, enjoy a lovely breakfast at the most popular café Déryné. Here, you can order delicious eggs Benedict or a full English breakfast. Want to try a more traditional Hungarian breakfast? Then Émile is the place for you. The Hungarian breakfast table here has sausages, ham and onions, prepared with traditional sauces. You really don't want to miss out on these tastes!

Day 2 - During the day
After a well-earned breakfast, take the bus or metro to the Pest district on the right bank of the Danube. Visit the beautiful Hungarian Parliament building you saw a couple of time in the views yesterday. If you book a guided tour, you can even look inside the impressive interior.

Day 2 - Night
Pest has many "ruin pubs". These are old buildings that have been slightly renovated and decorated with rugs, garlands, lights and plants. It gives a very nice effect. These pubs are very popular with tourists and locals alike. Why not try the Szimpla Kert or Kuplung? In many ruin pubs, you can start off with dinner, then have a drink and soak up the atmosphere.
