Check-in with Emirates

At Emirates you can check in online via your computer or mobile phone. To do this, you only need to have your ticket and ID to hand. This way you can choose your seat free of charge and you don't have to queue at the check-in desks at the airport. In addition, at Emirates you can also check in at the airport at the check-in desk or via the self-service check-in machines.

When to check in with Emirates?
You can check in online from 48 hours in advance up to 90 minutes before departure.
You can check in at the airport from 3 hours to 90 minutes before departure.

Is online check-in with Emirates mandatory?
Online check-in is not mandatory with Emirates. You can also check in via the Emirates check-in desks or via the self-service kiosks at the airport.

Hand Baggage

Emirates has one of the world's most generous baggage regulations. For example, passengers in Economy Class can take one item of hand luggage with them free of charge. This may be a maximum of 55 x 38 x 20 cm (lxwxh) and weigh 7 kilos. Travellers in Business Class or First Class are allowed to bring an extra accessory, such as a handbag or laptop. This may be a maximum of 45 x 35 x 20 cm.

Checked Baggage for Emirates

In Economy Class you can take up to 20, 25, 30 or 35 kilos of hold luggage for free (depending on the rate type); passengers in Business Class up to 40 kg and passengers in First Class up to 50 kg. Your suitcase may be a maximum of 300 cm (lxwxh). You can drop off checked baggage up to one hour before departure at one of the baggage drop-off points at the airport.
