As borders slowly open, Emirates is doing their utmost to ensure their passengers fly safely. That is why they have taken extra safety and disinfection measures at their airport and on your flight. Read on to know more about the steps they have taken to make your travels as safe as possible.
Emirates is the first airline in the world to provide free cover for health and quarantine costs for passengers if they are diagnosed with COVID-19 during their travels.They will cover medical expenses up to GBP 130000 and quarantine costs up to GBP 88 per day for 14 days - for free. The coverage applies to all travel classes and are valid for 31 days from the moment of departure.

In the Airport: During check-in, all passengers will have to walk through a thermal scanner, after which they will receive a hygiene kit encompassing a face mask, gloves, antibacterial wipes and hand sanitiser. At the gates, measures have been taken to ensure social distancing, with stickers on the floor.
On Your Flight: The cabin crew will be in full personal protective equipment throughout the flight. Passengers have to wear a face mask at all times, except while eating and drinking. The lavatories will be disinfected regularly, and flights longer than 1 hour and 30 minutes will have an extra cabin crew member who will be cleaning the lavatories.
