British Airways Baggage

Hand luggage is free with British Airways. Your hand luggage may not exceed 56 x 45 x 25 cm (lxwxh) and weigh no more than 23 kg. You can also bring a personal item such as a handbag or laptop bag with a maximum size of 40 x 30 x 15 cm.

Checked baggage is included on longer flights. The weight of your luggage depends on the travel class.

• Economy Class passengers are allowed to take 1 piece of 23 kg checked baggage
• Business Class passengers are allotted 2 pieces of 32 kg.

Your suitcase can be a maximum of 90 x 75 x 43 cm. Check-in baggage can be dropped off at one of the baggage drop-off points at the airport after checking in.

If you book extra baggage, this applies to a one-way trip to a possible stopover or the final destination, so do not forget to book extra baggage for the return flight and any stopover so that you will not be faced with unexpected costs! This only applies to flights operated by British Airways, so if you fly on the return flight or after a stopover with another airline, you will have to book extra hold luggage with that specific airline instead of with British Airways. It may also be that you cannot book extra hold luggage online due to departure from a certain airport. This will have to be done at the airport itself.
